Brain re- training helps change drives that trigger stress, stress eating and other vices. The Reboot to Joy process educates and supports practices that address emotions and stress- activating hot- buttons that we target for those who are ready, helping them hear, speak to and undo the problematic brain pathways.
Instead of trying to force changes through external alterations or motivators, such as diets or self-will, the newly re-wired circuits begin to take over, improving mood, lowering stress and bringing more functional thinking and behavior. Transformed and tapped into our joy, new ease and relaxation naturally pull us to our own highest good. External solutions and unhealthy choices are no longer needed or wanted.
The process uses simple tools that help clients get comfortable with their own natural emotional states and deal with them in healthier ways. As indicated in the moment, questions may be posed to help clients tap into and move through each phase as it is at the time. Queries help them to follow the natural progression of emotion. Simply tapping into that relieves stress and brings the brain into better balance. In this healthier state, effectiveness and productivity are also enhanced.

It's a more effective, long- lasting method than external or forced changes as in diets, discipline, accountability or willpower. Rather, it undoes the actual brain wiring that creates negative states. The new re-wiring is our introduction into freedom from the destructive excesses. The new life pattern improves our mood and calls us to healthier, happier choices and greater well-being.
Our Support-- How & Why
Without retraining the emotional brain circuits driving our behavior, its highly resistant to change. Under distress blood rushes from the brain to the body limbs and other organs that are now in the “fight or flight” mode. Thinking is fuzzy, faulty or non -existent. At that time we need support in a simple- to- follow method to guide us back to our calmness. The presence or voice of another human or group can also help us in engaging a process to detach and re- learn the new, effective "re-wired" responses. Personal coaching, therapy and/or peer support keeps us going. A teacher or guide helps in using the tools, releasing us from the habit of responding with stress and transforming that response into one that brings us back to our joy. How It Works--

Raising the Joy- Happiness Set Point
The re- wiring process offers both immediate and long- term rewards, the growth of happiness, as a way of life. The only "willpower" called for is keeping in the transformation process, knowing that we will prevail. Our challenge is the changing of the happiness set- point. We're used to a particular level of happiness or distress and our instinct for survival (our primitive brain) wants it maintained. We return to it again and again. But using body- mind methods, psychology and neuroscience keep us going for our healing. We re- wire the old set point over time. Which one will win-- the survival brain or the urge that pulls us to our joy? The wire we keep feeding!

1. Individually focused methods are vital for deep re-wiring of the persistent habitual behaviors. General neuroscience methods don't go deep enough to impact highly resistant brain pathways.

Health, Overeating
& Stress Eating Programs
Many programs around eating focus on weight- loss. More often than not that loss doesn't last long. It's merely a band- aid, because the real crux of the problem is an over- blown, over- stated habitual response to stress. Thus, addressing and relieving that inflated response must take precedence over external solutions. Without changing that destructive pattern on a deep level, there can be no ongoing relief. The key to that vital healing must come from application of a specific, individually targeted neuroscience that works in a specific, individualized way. The tools of that science are thus able to re- wire the brain circuits that connect to the overactive hot - buttons triggering chronic dysfunctional eating.
Other Methods
Most methods for lifestyle and lifelong change produce changes that appear breakthrough but may fade over time, The problem is that situational, external, conscious, and even many sub- conscious changes do not address the root cause of distress. The practice we teach and support offer specialized neuroscience and tools as a core to the program, initiating, cementing change that will last. This the super- power, the glue that secures and ensures the re- wiring and re-patterning of vital brain circuits. The tools help reduce stress in the moment, giving a quick path to relief. Additionally, and just as importantly they raise the happiness set point, reducing the chance of relapse and recreating a new, empowered life.
Reclaiming our Lives
Other methods don't have these highly targeted, effective, clear, easy tools for transforming the stress circuits that rob us of positive action. Here's a better approach to self-care addressing the causes of mental distraction and dysfunction directly. We can bypass the need to analyze or circumvent our normal brain pathways. The underlying cause of body- mind - brain disruption is an overactive stress circuit. When we switch off the root cause (the stress circuit) with our tools, we find freedom and can reboot our day and our lives and reclaim the innate human tendencies that help us to live in our joy.
