About Us--
Our Service
We specialize in the Lihue and Kapaa / Wailua area, offering vacation and overnight services in other areas as well. I may refer you one of our affiliates around the island.
To become an affiliate and get referrals for your pet or home-sitting business, use our contact info. Please provide a phone number as well as other contact info.
Pet Services Fees:
Day and evening visits - Basic rate starting at $15.00 per visit (or $20.00 & up for 2 or more pets) includes feeding, fresh water, letting out dogs, picking up waste in yard, cleaning out litter boxes or cages, altering lights, gathering mail, newspapers, and packages, watering plants, and providing security for your home in general. Other services may be added, as whenever possible, we customize our visits to suit you and your pets' needs. We generally offer between 1-3 visits a day, depending on the level of care needed.
Overnight Care - $20.00 and up for same services as day and evening visits, plus overnight stay. Extra visits can be arranged during the day for an additional fee.
Dog Walking: We will walk your dog around the neighborhood or nearby. Rate is $15.00 for 20 minutes, $20.00 for 30 minutes to 45 minutes or one hour.extra fee for more than 1 dogor hard- to- manage pet.
Taxi Service: We provide safe and prompt transportation of your pet to and/or from your vet, groomers, kennels, etc. Rate is $20.00/hour including mileage for local trips.
Home Care and Maintenance:
Rates starting at $15.00 per visit for watering plants, cleaning up pet waste in yard, and watching your house while you're away.
* We may add a surcharge of $10.00 per night for overnight care, and $5.00 per visit on holidays:

Pet and Home Service
Lucky Wells is a retired homemaker and worker in the field of human service. She is active part-time as ”Gal Friday” Home and Office services on Kaua’i along with her pet- sitting duties. Background: I always have had dogs, cats and other pets as a child and have always loved animals. As a renter currently I am without a pet of my own, which frees up my time to make it easier for me to work with other pets. That is something I enjoy and thrive on.
Experience and Study
I have experience working with many types of pets, including birds and fish. Athough I have not become a paid or certified member with any other pet or home sitting service, I am an avid reader on the subject of animals and have done extensive homework for the pet and home care/ security business. I know (only too well sometimes) from my own experience as well as my studies that there can be much more to this work than meets the eye, and I am prepared for the various possibilities and eventualities
Lucky’s hobbies include non-fiction reading, gardening, home business and writing in the areas of spirituality and wellness. She is a member of the Baha'i Faith and a resident of Hawaii since 1979, now living on Kaua’i since 2000.
Out of her passion and concern for animals, Lucky has taken care of many pets for friends and began the current organization and promotion of Better Petters.com Secure Care for Home and Pets in 2011 and found it to be a great fit. She continues to educate herself in the areas of pet behavior and health, and is always looking for opportunities to expand her knowledge. Lucky and her affiliates take great pride and pleasure in serving their customers homes and pets needs to the best of their abilities, and look forward to continuing to provide top-quality pet and home sitting services throughout the Kaua’l area.
